Resistance is Futile

The times of 'easy wins' on the dom server seems to be finally over. Of all of the players who try to resist assimilation, Jim (the drivers) has proven to be the most persistant and creative opponent, never giving up, attacking from the end of protection, defending down to scorched eart.

Sooner or later, everyone learns, that resistance is futile, and gives up to be slaughtered or assimilated, not so him; like in this game, when my fighters under the cloaking field reached his very last planet, 'planet of resistance'. Obviously he had been mining the system thorougly, and I should have suspected what he was up to, as there were 2! radioactives left.

He had asked me, when he had signed off, to have him eliminated by 16:00 EST, so I was still confident when, as in the picture below, the fighters that ringed his HW blinked out in a blaze of glory, on turn 213.

I was, however, genuinely surprised, when the same thing happened on turn 214. And, on turn 215.

Of course it is just a matter of time, but such spirit!

I am, however, rather impatient. In about 2 turns I will have thrust 20 fighters loaded with FIs on the way.

In the end, all resistance will have been futile.
